As one of the early adopters, I started using IBM Bob IDE when version 1.0.1 was released in March 2026. I signed up for the free trial with my personal IBMid. After the trial ended, I successfully purchased a subscription, but it was later canceled because I wasn’t considered a corporate user.
What a pity. I simply wanted another AI tool to help me get more work done.
After IBM Bob IDE 2.0 was released, I decided to check the subscription process again. To my surprise, it appears that IBM now allows individuals in Taiwan to subscribe to IBM Bob. I completed the subscription successfully, and so far I haven’t received any cancellation notice.
Looking forward to exploring Bob IDE 2.0!
